It's weird to think that if I hadn't heard Glenn Gould play Bach 32 years ago, that I likely wouldn't have spent 1000s of hours over the past 32 years at the piano trying to play Bach, Beethoven, Brahms & other composers somewhat decently. Nor would I likely have discovered Rachmaninoff. #PianoNotes

Ways to know I’ve played enough piano for a while:
1) when my left shoulder blade is burning (usually after 45 minutes or so of solid playing)
2) when I’m pounding my head on the piano in frustration because I’m playing badly #PianoNotes

Ever since I watched his reaction to hearing Greenday and the joy on his face in creating his version of it I’ve been obsessed w everything he does! Watch his pianonotes eps and his movie on Netflix, you won’t be disappointed ☺️
I will say I learned some Bach pieces when I first started learning piano-- a transcription of Bach's 3rd Brandenburg concerto that was fun and then some of his 2 part inventions. So I did get a bit of the bug then, but hearing Gould kicked me into overdrive. #PianoNotes
