Today I installed picoboot in a friend's GameCube.
It's always annoying how the cables they sent with the picoboot kit are just wrong for the project hahaha I always have to get some proper cables.

This black PAL GameCube's disc read error wasn't the laser, it was the optical-drive caps. Recapped the drive, bridged a snapped lid switch, fitted a PicoBoot chip, and it reads discs again.

Replaced the dead clock battery in my GameCube with a CR2032 holder (no more soldering when I need to replace it again!).
And said hi again to the PicoBoot installation I did a couple years ago 🤓

Putting the finishing touches on a customers Indigo GameCube (in for picoboot, noctua, battery mod, etc) and after a thourough shell cleaning, polished up their jewel to restore some of that shine!

I got this gamecube at a flea market for only $20 because it had a broken disk reader and was in poor condition.
I got this nice new green shell for it and I'm gonna mod it with picoboot soon! It's not done but I can't stop looking at how pretty this shell is!!

Couldnt leave this as-is obviously, so after cleaning the board itself (toothbrush and IPA), I added a picoboot mod! (using ZedLabz’ mount to hold it in place)
