Lily Gladstone is an actress. She was raised on Blackfeet Reservation. She is of Piegan Blackfeet, Nez Perce and European heritage. She made history when she became the first Native American nominated for an Oscar in 2024. She said that she feels a responsibility to speak up for her community.

Wildflowers lined most of the Piegan Pass Trail on Wednesday: purple shrubby penstemon, hot pink paintbrush, and tall creamy beargrass. The jagged wall in the background above the alpine is the Continental Divide.
