For literally centuries the Pitaka people called the desert Soreia would later be built on 'Narakah' (Which is kinda like 'Hell' in Sanskrit). They believed it was endless and entirely uninhabitable. So much so that they believed it to be a trick of the Gods.

this video just gave a buddhist anecdote, one of the buddha's sermons (presumably a short discourse). it did cite the story. it cited it to "the sutta pitaka".

In WIP 3, Divolka sides with Tempest's rebellion. This is basically an extremist/ethnic purist standpoint for her people, the Pitaka.
