Did you ever want to hear Hacksaw Jim Duggan walk to the ring with "Party Up" by DMX as his entrance music??

Yes, this is the original audio.

Thanks to Jim's tag team partner J-Ru on this December 1, 2001 IWC Uniontown, PA event, it's officially part of #PittsburghWrestlingHistory

CM Punk has always been outspoken, passionate, and determined to be a champion.

Back in October 2002, his words to Christopher Daniels, Jeff Gorman and the International Wrestling Cartel - IWC title picture were a sign of things to come even up to present-day.

The early 2000s were an era of innovative hardcore wrestling from the top promotions on down.

Here, Dennis Gregory punishes CJ Sensation with, of all things, a chair rack on this December 2001 International Wrestling Cartel event in West Mifflin, PA.

It feels weird to say "Hey, remember that time "MDogg" Matt Cross got beat up by Kamala until Jerry "The King" Lawler made the save?" but it definitely happened at International Wrestling Cartel - IWC on July 20, 2002.

Bonus: check out young referee Dean Radford!

Arguably the 2 best wrestlers in Pgh in the early 2000s were Orion & Super Hentai. When they met in Butler, PA on 3-16-02, Orion was a former @iwc_wrestling Champ & Super Hentai was 7 days away from making history as 1st IWC Super Indy Champ!

Amazing Red is one of the most innovative and influential high flyers of his era. His one and only appearance in International Wrestling Cartel - IWC was August 31, 2001 when he teamed with Joel Maximo to face Quiet Storm & Deranged.

Go, Red, Go!

When Norm Connors blamed T Rantula for a recent loss in the PWX vs SCW feud of 1996-97, an extreme beat-down from SCW & ECW reps Blue Meanie, Stevie Richards, Shane Douglas & Dudley Dudley followed until some of PWX's finest came to their ex-enemy's aid.

Yesterday, I celebrated the weekend by posting Disco Inferno & Norm Connors dancing.

BUT... maybe you think The Sandman & J-Ru did it better here in IWC wrestling in 2001?

You made it to the weekend! Congrats!

Celebrate as hard and enjoy it as much as... whatever it is Norm Connors & Disco Inferno are doing here in the fall of 1997.

. @coltcabana.bsky.social had some major concerns about the parenting skills in Uniontown, PA at IWC on March 23, 2002.

My first chance to follow independent wrestling was PWX TV in 1997

They played their live event ad so often, I have it memorized.

When I worked for PWX 15 years later & they asked me to record audio for a live event ad, I already knew what to do.

10-19-02 was a very important day for both IWC Wrestling & #PittsburghWrestlingHistory, as it was the IWC debuts of Sterling James Keenan (aka Corey Graves) & Glenn Spectre!

It was also the 2nd-ever IWC event of ring announcer Chuck Roberts, who went on to own the company from 2010-2014.

The rivalry between Super Hentai vs Devil Bhudakahn is credited with breaking down barriers for smaller-sized wrestlers in the area, making them two of the most important parts of #PittsburghWrestlingHistory.

This clip from a 3-way match with CJ Sensation is a great example why.

TOMMY DREAMER was IWC Tag Team Champion last year, but his IWC debut was actually 7-20-01.

Jimmy Vegas was the opponent & thanks to Damian Stockholm & Shirley Doe, Dreamer would have to wait a few years for his first IWC win.

Honey, wake up! New profane rant from Iron Sheik just dropped!

After losing the IWA Title back to Preston Steele on July 12, 1995, Sheiky Baby was none too pleased, perhaps due to his manager. Lord Zoltan tried to calm things.

It was in Cortland, Ohio so it's not quite #PittsburghWrestlingHistory

One of my favorite parts of looking through #PittsburghWrestlingHistory is finding matches between 2 characters from my childhood that would've never logically crossed paths on WWF or WCW TV.

Like Demolition Ax (left WWF in 11-90) vs. Typhoon (switch from Tugboat summer 1991).
August 31, 2025 at 5:02 PM
I was ready for a lot of LORD ZOLTAN to pop up in #PittsburghWrestlingHistory but I definitely was NOT ready for Ken Jugan teaming with Brian Anthony as the USA Express in, I think, 1994 or so.

@coltcabana.bsky.social won an 8-man tournament, last beating Shirley Doe, to win the vacant @IWCwrestling Title on July 20, 2002.

Lawler & Kamala got me into the building that night but it was Colt, Doe, and many others that kept me coming back.

A week before, he was in the infamous "dumpster incident" on Raw.

A week later, he main evented WWF No Way Out.

In between, Cactus Jack teamed with @bluemeaniebwo.bsky.social vs. Lou Marconi & Frank Staletto in Irwin, PA 2-8-98 for the Steel City Wrestling Tag Titles!
