#Plagiarists
The essay has been virtually obliterated as a form of assessment by the promiscuous use students make of AI. These students are plagiarists.
Plagiarism is a kind of theft, but it is also a question of honour

Let the flesh of plagiarists commingle into saints!

I love this for them

Plagiarists and AI-assisted hacks will be caught 😂
Gotta admit I'm getting a lot of schadenfreude from the freakouts about Claude's watermarks and the horrifying idea you might actually have to do your own work to get credit for the work.

"but plagiarists will lie, how will we ever catch them??" the same way we always did. like did you people forget the reason that malicious liars & thieves do it is *because* they are brutish and ignorant in the first place
the thing with "but people will lie" is: that makes them liars. that makes them violators of your ToS. that makes them, outright, unwelcome and unwanted: anything you *do* find is an immediate, unquestionable violation of your rules, where you no longer have to make judgements. "get out."

didn't include authors.
AO3 is on the side that fan authors own their words; they have instructions on their site for filing a copyright claim against plagiarists. They see a clear difference between a derivative/transformative work (a work that is inspired by something else, but is still the

Plagiarists are scum.
November 3, 2026 at 2:02 AM
They are flat out plagiarists!
October 31, 2026 at 2:27 AM
"and then you never see that part of VRChat again."

yes, that is the point of a filter- and not wanting to engage with AI-generated slop shouldn't be surprising nor be addressed with this self-righteous tone of annoyance

You are saying you want your community to include plagiarists

AO3 has helped writers make DMCA claims against AIs scraping their works and plagiarists stealing their fics. AO3 DISAGREES WITH YOU that this is legally bad for fanfic writers
November 2, 2026 at 12:37 AM
You can easily get around the watermark by copying & pasting an outlinen and then writing & editing it. They're admitting to being the lowest possible effort plagiarists.
November 2, 2026 at 3:20 PM
I also notified AO3 I imagine their legal department is going to put the wrath of god in this site for this cause ao3 doesn't fuck around plagiarists have learned of this in the past. I also have a suspicion this site also is part of that security breach seeing as orphaned works and drafts are on it
November 2, 2026 at 3:23 PM
If the community strife this causes boils down to "we don't want to hurt the feelings of the people who wanna use theft machines instead of putting in the work everyone else in the community has for years now"

then you want to include plagiarists in your community

This is not a neutral stance.

I really just want to cry. I can understand human plagiarists. Envy and low self-esteem are human and understandable. But this? This is cruel and mean and so fucking violating. People don't respect writers and artists AT ALL.

Whoever did this needs to rot in hell.
November 2, 2026 at 8:29 PM
no quarter.
give these plagiarists nothing.
BREAKING: House Democrats have preemptively introduced a resolution to stop the federal government from bailing out AI companies in the event of the industry collapsing. The bill says these companies should be subjected to the ordinary bankruptcy process.

I think what people mean is that it's not as normalised and people aren't as brazen about it. I've rarely seen people being like "you posted it so I'm allowed to repost it" when it comes to fanart, and people get super mad at art plagiarists and stuff
November 2, 2026 at 1:28 PM
benefit, they are allowed to make this work. They also OWN this work, as in, they have a legal copyright to the words they have made (just not the characters that were already part of the original canon). The authors have standing to sue AI bots that steal their fics, plagiarists, etc.

psychopathic plagiarists. Well said.
October 30, 2026 at 10:47 AM
The reason you don’t see your favourite “journalist” influencers speak much about C-22 is that they are largely entertaining or attractive plagiarists who don’t want to spend the time learning the tech and the legislation.
October 30, 2026 at 7:31 PM
this shit sucks so so much and I am barely able to hold it together while administrators talk about how the train has left the station and we have no choice but to hand over our money and mission to the psychopathic plagiarists trying to end the world

Hbomberguy allegedly is against both pedophiles & plagiarists, yet on the plagiarism video, he has LILY ORCHARD/CD CALL, as a top patron...she is an incestuous pedophile, wrote an illegal(By Canadian law) incest fic, & plagiarized Hbomberguy numerous times....& muted my comments pointing this out.

You don't got to have a Harvard law degree to see that even the notion of a gray area, or loophole, is intentionally engineered by the mass plagiarists. "Oh my, how can we possibly be held responsible for shooting that guy? After all, our gun did all the actual shooting!" Come on, folks...seriously.

Whether it's Armageddon, Ragnarok, Blue Kachina\every Religion has a Dooms Day/Judgment Day scenario.

Even Judaism, who awaits the 1st APPEARANCE of the Messiah.

maybe we should start calling the sloppers what they really are. plagiarists

Generative A.I. is just a means for cheating plagiarists to white wash their their lack of commitment to their endeavors. It’s tortoise vs hare all over again.

Empires. +_+ And this is made most obvious with the bastard child of the bastard plagiarists of Roman, The Holy Roman Empire, or as it RIGHTFULLY should have been called "that shitty remnant of Rome in the East that was pissing off everyone." Bc Constantine saw the fall of Rome through letters~
