After 7 months of #plainTextAccounting, insights are starting to flow. Honestly I have no idea how I'd have tracked all this without a) paying a ridiculous amount of $ every month, b) locking myself into an app that doesn't do what I need it to, and c) makes it hard to move somewhere else!

Today I scrapped all that (yay for backups!) and simply added the savings goal to the name of each account. Thanks for the tip on the forum, Simon (the creator of hLedger)!

- Portfolio requires "assets:crypto", which many files don't have
- For my own journal, Accounts shows partial data and Monthly shows no data, and I can't figure out the reason.

I've found #plaintextaccounting with #hledger to be an absolutely _perfect_ match for MCP's. Attached are two neat examples.
1) Creating a visualization from the data within the journals.
2) Easily adding new entries from a receipt. Just drag the PDF in and... 🎉
