There's a Print Shop in Planescape: Torment, though I don't remember if there is a press in there or if the printed items are created magically. I do remember the owner of the print shop teleporting you outside and locking the door if you pissed him off, though.

Planescape: Torment is a great game, but my point against it (as well as KotOR 2) is that it's about made up metaphysics.

Like, this is where it comes back to me having played Mass Effect and Dragon Age and KOTOR and Elder Scrolls and Fallout and Planescape and VTMB - only to then being told that I'm the idiot philistine for not believing BG3 invented all these genre tropes that I've resented for decades now. 😑

I'm not sure what I would replace though. Maybe Dishonored as I already loved Immersive Sims from Deus Ex by the time it arrived. Maybe Baldur's Gate as I actually appreciate the writing more as an adult than as a kid and I still have Planescape.
