In the 70’s immigrants would cross the northern border into New York south of Montreal(60 miles from Plattsburgh NY) during the winter. If they could get to Plattsburgh a bus to NYC down Route 87 was the ticket to a new life, if the cold and snow got them they would find the bodies in the spring.
