The Outfield..Playdeep

Myself and legendary artist frank gambino have been writing songs together since 2018. This weekend we are completing the album at playdeep studios with some top musicians and an ace producer. Live gigs in the spring. All v exciting ⭐️

"Your Love" is a song by the English #rock band #TheOutfield, taken from their 1985 debut album #PlayDeep, released in early 1986 and written by guitarist #JohnSpinks. In the United States, the song reached number six on the #Billboard Hot 100 and number seven on the Album Rock Tracks chart in 1986.

My #GuiltyPleasureAlbum is ‘PlayDeep’ by The Outfield

So many bangers on this LP, I dare anyone to hear the first few bars of ‘Your Love’ and not sing along…….it simply can’t be done!

Best part is, my 12yo son loves it too & bought the vinyl 😁

What’s yours?

I had a friend in High School whose car tape deck had The Outfield-Play Deep cassette stuck in it... you know, where if you tried to eject, it'd eat the tape & then left with only radio, but worse, it wouldn't even eject!
We listened to that album soooo much & I still love the entire thing today ❤️

#OnThisDay 1️⃣9️⃣8️⃣5️⃣ #TheOutfield released their debut album #PlayDeep They had an unusual experience for a British band in that they enjoyed commercial success in the US but never in their homeland. The album reached No.9 on the billboard charts & became triple platinum in the US.
