Mostly PlayRole, sometimes Foundry, or Roll 20. Sometimes just with Zoom and an interactive whiteboard (Miro) and TOTM.

It was a bit of a PITA making sure all of the playbook templates were correct on Role, but I'm finally done and also have the PC sheets transferred from Roll20. It still was a more pleasant experience than Roll20. I can't wait until we restart our game. #TTRPG #VTT #PlayRole

I’m very excited to announce that I’ve partnered with Playrole to deliver a custom online gaming experience for folks purchasing EotV directly from Playrole.

Check it out, it’s so cool!!!

Woohoo, this @playrole.bsky.social / @owlbear.rodeo stuff is really shaping up. I found a cool extension for doing clocks.

Screenshot of a Role/Owlbear Rodeo room with a character sheet, a section with a clock labeled "Fool's Errand," and a stylized background with a tattered parchment map in the upper right corner being held down by a stone knife with a bone handle.

Using a virtual tabletop (VTT) like Roll20, Foundry, or PlayRole; over Discord; maybe just using Zoom.

I've had a good experience with both playrole and diceweaver! Alchemy is wonderful, my personal favorite, for theater of the mind but not the right fit for every game ingestion yet!

I like so much of what Role/playrole does in concept, but their execution is lacking (for me). Having these really generic TTRPG functions that you can sorta piece together as templates into generally-functional character sheets is neat!

But it needs some basic, like, programming to really work.

I tried Roll20 for the first time today! Normally we play in person, but we weren't able to this week and we still wanted to do a session of Curse of Strahd. It was pretty cool! I've only played online with PlayRole as a DM, so it was neat to try something else too.

We’ve been using the www.playrole.com site for dice rolls and maps. It does do character sheets too, but I like having mine in an editable pdf.
