Me with my original PS3 that refuses to run any physical games, and the PS3 Slim that slowed down drastically in the early 2020s and hasn't been turned on since. Lots of my favorite games were on there, and they were the only PlayStations I ever owned

while my dad's emulator fascination was top of the line, our living room pc was still ever only so strong. so as more privileged friends had playstations and more affluent parents, symphony of the night felt completely mythical to me, something i could only dream of. until soma cruz shaped my gender

I made the demand that they can't just return to the status quo and expect it all to be okay.
I'm done with them offering the bare fucking minimum and expecting to be rewarded.
Give me full REAL backward compatibility with all older playstations, or fuck off.

At the weekend they bought a PS3 or 4 (I dunno, one of th3 PlayStations) and a load of physical games that don’t rely on downloads.

This was my first console. I still have it and it still works! This is the only console I feel a true attachment to. I will likely sell all my playstations, my wii, xbox 360, etc but I will never give up my N64.

1 and 2 are some of my favourite games, theyre so stylish and have that vibe to me of "cool games outta my reach" since my first exposure to them back in the day was brief lets plays since i had no playstations

the thing i find most strange about this current wave of pr about don’t worry you can skip the grinding, you can speed up the cutscenes, don’t even worry man is that ff7 (original) is so simple it was a not insignificant of people’s literal first game ever and it sold a billion playstations
FF7 Revelation has more "on-screen guidance" to stop players feeling lost, but SE is already "considering options" for those who hate hand-holding
