Rocking up first at the allotments when my shed padlock key refused to function meant I rived it off using a lump of iron.
Fortunately, a couple of plotters turned up, located an old hasp and made a far better job of it than the original shed-makers.

#plotlife culinary discovery of the year. These are silverbeet/chard tops, we get loads every year but I'd always assumed they'd be bitter and inedible, being "bolted" veg.
Turns out they're v tasty, in between sprouting broccoli and spinach. 2 minute blanch then fry up quickly w/ garlic. Nom.

#plotlife culinary discovery of the year. These are silverbeet/chard tops, we get loads every year but I'd always assumed they'd be bitter and inedible, being "bolted" veg.

A big part of me thinks it was just small minded allotment life but we all allotment for different reasons. If something doesn’t sit well with you, speak to the person involved don’t go and gossip and spread division.
It never works out well.
