No one knows who started the tradition of "plughead kisses" for mech pilots. As commanding officer, it was my job to pull their foreheads into mine for a quick press before a sortie. Some say it's a spacer tradition where they press helmets together, but spacers use hand signs.

At least Eisenhowers don't need to worry about nerve damage. I've seen what happens when a lobotomite's mech gets hit by E-Warfare weapons, you couldn't pay me all the money in the 'verse to be a plughead.
Eisenhower mech girlies wish they had the reaction time us trauma doll lobotomites have. Sure I wear a muzzle. Okay I have no free will. But your feeble nervous system reaction time can't match the speed of thought!*

Trauma doll lobotomites plugged into combat suites don't know how it's done. In my day, Eisenhower girlies signed off from their final sortie with a crackling, distorted radio transmission warning of the danger posed by the incipient military-industrial complex.

Plughead Rewired: Circuitry Man 2 (1994) should have been so much better. Great cast, special effects, props, kills and conclusion. Unfortunately the writing leaves a lot to be desired and felt rushed. 5/10, full @letterboxd.social review below.

Meet Voltine!! He’s a Plughead Rabbit. His species aren’t true rabbits and had antlers instead of long ears. They feasted on electrolyte-heavy foods, evolving to hold electric abilities. A common fashion tradition is to get the antlers pierced to look like plugs.

I wouldn't recommend the "Plughead from Circuitry Man" look, however.

“Mouth of Hell” for Pull The Plug Patches. Full page magazine ad and long sleeve design. These guys were incredibly cool to work with. I love how their brand is basically world building shaped by all the artists they commission within the metal art sphere. So sick!
