Podpoint have a horrible habit of putting in 7kw chargers into Tescos. Not much use with 2 hour parking limits

Podpoint #PODP.L being put out of it's misery by largest shareholder EDF with an offer of 6.5p. Accompanying that with unlikely to publish results by 30th April due to 'having to consider impact of offer on FY24 results' so shares will be suspended from 1st May. Seems odd.

watching @tommolog.bsky.social 's new walmart charging video, and im genuinely surprised their former subsidiary/partner in the UK, ASDA, does not have its own charging. Tesco partnered with PodPoint. Aldi,Lidl and Sainsburry's have their own. Morisson's has EVPower , but ASDA is the odd one out

I dropped into Tesco today so added 10% to the battery because I have credit on PodPoint. £1.69!!

Podpoint #PODP.L FY TU, adj EBITDA loss of ~£14M is apparently in line. Weakness in private EV market means revenue £53M below expected £60M. Cash balances also down to £5.3M against expected £15M. And the icing on the cake - a warning for 2025 due to 'continuing challenging backdrop'.

The Microlino is just a basic type 2 so I thought Podpoint would be good

Just tried Podpoint ev charging for the first time. What a joke. 3kw in 29 minutes and they make you bung money in advance. No wonder you can't email them or even talk to anyone outside office hours.

I wonder if this signals a long-overdue infrastructure deal with Tesco and Be.EV - some of the PodPoint units are getting a bit tired, especially the Tritium rapids!

In May 2024 I took your advice and decided to switch from PodPoint to #Zappi.
Because we already had most wiring it cost us £990 fitted.
Switching from OG to IOG & outgoing fixed at 15p/kWh v 8p/kWh we have already made back £350 of the cost.
🌞🌞🌞 means almost a MWh exported in 25 already.

2024 well that was interesting 🤨
2025 I leave #PodPoint in January to start… well I don’t know yet. Survived the 2024 cull, this time l thought let’s jump out. Parents need help, they are late 80s and succumbing to various dementias so getting them stabilised is time well spent.
I’m excited! 😜

Had to go looking at my data now! So I spent c.£185ish on public charging last year (according to electroverse/podpoint).I drove something like 13k miles with most from the home charger. Diff in cost between my model 3 and the long range version is £5k, so crudely 27 yrs payback if no public charges

Has anyone else out there been 'selected' to test the new Pod Point home / smart charge app?
Installed and linked to charger and car but it has just sat on this view for an hour. I have actually no idea if the car is going to charge and to what extent.

From the research I’ve done, you can use a Tesla home charger with other EVs - but might need an adaptor. A PodPoint home charger will work with Tesla.

It's hard to tell, there are some Tesco PodPoint rapid chargers out there, but also a load of super slow ones too. Not sure they were intended for heavy machinery ;-)

Hyundai Mobis that makes Hyundai group parts has announced it's working on 22kW charging ICCU for future models. It's a great thing to have on my wife's Zoe and you can still get 5 minutes of 22kW charging at Tesco's Podpoint which amounts to around 2% SOC in that amount of time.
