From woods to May Day streets, Spring’s palette brings a soft hush of color. A world awakening, brushstroke by brushstroke.

Red leaves -an offering at the foot of a steeple. Crimson as redemptive lifeblood. Nature - a sacred text whose beauty preaches a sermon of grace in a harsh world. Both altar & congregation. Heaven & earth entwine.

Rust & shattered glass rise
from earth. The wind moves,
but the crumbling bricks do not. Vulnerable & open to the sun,
it daydreams away the day -
content in its lazy decay.

Spring is patient,
unfolding in whispers
before the bloom.

A farmer, name now erased,
grew the crops Time harvested.

But a vine climbs.
silent
steady
Hums the Rhythm
that outlasts any human heartbeat.

I miss talking to the stars, believing somewhere, someone cared. In blackest hours, I’d hear the faint hum of physics in motion - a lullaby over my soul seeking to dissolve into rhythm. A belonging no human could break.

Glass of sky & water catches light, as paint peels in painful purgatory. Hymnals grow dust & silence, hold their breath in hope Grief passes by. Not even the ghosts bother to pray in the pews anymore.

Shadows reveal the brokenness within, the fractures others fail to see. There’s no Kintsugi here - for gold remains too rare, too costly an amount. Instead, darkness fills the cracks, a silent testament to what was lost & what remains.

Today, I mourn. For what? I’m not sure. Nothing, yet everything. Peace & love, trampled underfoot in the climb to power. History repeated, driven by greed. Or perhaps, I grieve because I cannot rock a crying world to sleep.

Child’s labyrinth. Inner stones:But A Dream

Phantom suns - mirror our longing to hold the divine. But we only grasp at fragments whose sharp edges slice our souls & sear our spirits with pain.

Safe within the harbor,
sails down in the sacred hush of setting sun, we see beauty in simply ‘being’ -
not the ‘journeying.’

Were we to measure another’s worth not by accomplishments,
but by a soul’s quiet gravity, our time together would be more gentle. #ArtYear #PoetrySnippets #FebuArty

But sometimes, I still feel invisible. Faded into the background.

Forget my brokenness bends unseen light into color.
Forget I am free.

Then I look into my eyes
and remember - I’m a sum.
Not a number.
Defined not by what once was,
but by the light that remains.

That day at Bloody Lane, a mother & son picnicked in the shade where blood once soaked the earth. Nature reclaims; life grows. Mourning & rejoicing intertwine. We gain sustenance from soil nourished by lives lost -unaware of our sacred & timeless interconnectedness.

An altered sky, but still a truth. Our eyes shape beauty to fit the world we know, but our souls & spirits know a different light born from what is endured, what is carried & what burns quietly beneath.

You watch the eclipse with shielded eyes as it becomes a fire-ringed monarch. While I, exiled to shadow, look through a pinhole to see the sun fractured into crescents & orbs. Ghosts that you don’t know exist.
