The only character that I have a good answer for this for is Callan, the Tender Lamb! His name is Scout and he accompanied Callan without his knowledge when he set out to be an adventurer.

Looking up

Wanted to make something with Sage's youngest daughter, Mairead. In which she is commissioned by Spagyrics to paint a mural on a nearby wall

#PolarisPics #PolarisTales #Viera #gposers
Mairead looking unsure and rubbing her arm, "I don't know, painting a mural for Spagyrics all by myself? I'm don't think I'm that good of an artist. At least not compared to..." Riqi-Tio grown up and wearing scientist gear confidently speaking, "Nope! I will have none of that Miss Maisie! I find you to be a skilled artist, and the Settlement Council wouldn't have agreed if they thought otherwise. Besides, a mentor of mine once told me that adventurers aren't the only important ones, so are the everyday folks. That's who you'll be representing!" Mairead looking touched, "Th-thank you! I appreciate it. I'll be sure not to let you down then! I'll make something that everyone in Spagyrics can enjoy!" Mairead talking to Riqi-Tio who has to crane her neck quite far to look up to her. Mairead: "You know Riqi, I've always looked up to you... I mean, except for in the literal-" Riqi-Tio: "I'm painfully aware, dear, you don't have to rub it in..." Mairead: "S-Sorry....!"

Two worlds

Tensions have been running a bit high since Sage's last visit to Alexandria...

#PolarisPics #PolarisTales #SageLyna #WolLyna #wolxnpc #gposers #viera

Part 1/6 ⤵️
An image of the dimensional key with an argument in the background Lyna: So you STILL don't know how to use this key? Sage: I'm afraid not. Lyna: Well why not? You've certainly had more than enough time. Frankly, I'm a little surprised! Sage: Excuse me...? A flashback of Sage in Solution 9 talking with other Scions as they look in his direction. The argument continues: Lyna: You have been there for weeks, Sage. WEEKS! Talking with your friends, having adventures, helping Alexandria rebuild... Hells, you've interacted with people who have owned the key, who have USED the key, for weeks and learned nothing! Sage: There's more to it than that! I- Lyna: You're right! Tehre's also a tournament that has held your focus. And what has that helped you learn? Nothing. It's also pretty telling to me that Y'shtola has yet to even so much as look at this artifact. Why- Sage: That's enough! An image of Sage and Lyna arguing in the Pendants Sage: You can be mad at me all you want. I should've looked more. But don't drag Y'shtola into this! She's as much of an affected party as we are! Lyna: Can you blame me, Sage? You two have all the power here! All the information! I have NOTHING! Nothing, except my desire to be by my fiance's side! Sage: You think I don't!? It's all I've been able to think about since I set our for Tural! Lyna, I would love nothing more! Past every new vista, past every new maniac with delusions of grandeur, you are on my mind! You are my sanity! You are my person and my home! A yellow light illuminates the room, and something fizzles to life. The argument between Sage and Lyna tapers to a... distraction Sage: And I would love to finally... be able... to...

A Confession, and a Turning Point

#PolarisTales #oc:elly #oc:skyler #wolship #miqote
Elly ponders to herself outside Skyler's door, rehearsing things to say to him, "So Skyler, after we kill this last Lightwarden how about- No no, you can't just lead with that... Maybe we could go to Clearmelt and- But he doesn't like swimming though I heard that the Wandering Stairs has some coffee biscuits that are to die for. Maybe we could- Bah forget it! I'm gonna just knock on the door and say whatever comes to mind! Elly knocks on Skyler's door and continues to think to herself, (He said he was going to his room when we got back from Amh Araeng but...) [Knocks] Skyler? You there? C'mon sleepyhead, I know you can hear me... Skyler? Skyler! [knock] [knock] [knock] (I hope he's okay) Skyler, I'm coming in... Elly in the pendants looking scared and nervous at what she's seeing, [GASP] "Gods... S-Skyler you.... You're.... What happened!?" Skyler responds, "E-elly...? [cough]" Skyler on a knee and hand, visibly suffering from light poisoning, "Just... [Huff] One more Lightwarden right? Let's- ngh! Get... over to Kholusia..."

Longing (Part 2)

A certain Keeper has been running himself ragged, much to the concern of Tataru
#gposers #wolship #miqote
The Rising Stones, Tataru and Skyler are sitting a table: Tataru: Skyler? Can we talk? Skyler: About what? Tataru: The fact that you fell asleep at the table again. I know you have your hands full, but I’m worried you’re burning out. Skyler: What do you mean? Skyler is bent over on the ground in the Syrcus Trench, searching for something. Tataru: "You’re out at first light, helping the Ironworks crew investigate the Syrcus Trench, helping out with whatever tasks in the meanwhile, come back here in the middle of the night, and do it all again the next day. I’m worried about you, Skyler." The Rising Stones, Tataru and Skyler are sitting a table: Skyler: I just... I miss her Tataru. I miss Elly and all the Scions... I want to find them. Tataru: I miss her too, and all the Scions. We all do. Which is why we’re all working in shifts to find this lead for you. The Rising Stones, Tataru and Skyler are sitting a table: Tataru: So get some rest, okay? You’ll be seeing her again before you know it. Skyler: [Yawn] Thank you, Tataru

Longing... no longer

#gposers #wolship #miqote

(1/4)⤵️
Elly sitting on the Crystarium stairs thinking to herself, "Two whole years... this calling thing takes forever huh? At least I've kept busy... I wonder whht you're up to Skyler, how you're holding up..." An image of Skyler carrying an unconscious Elly. Elly thinks to herself, "I can't imagine what you've been up to since I was last on the Source. All our friends, dropping like flies and leaving you all alone. Gods, I even left you while fighting Zenos..." Elly being tormented by clouds of thoughts. Most are unintelligible, The ones that can be read say "What if you couldn't hold your own? That's why the Exarch can't find you. Gods that would be awful. Would you even want to be here? Would you even want to be whisked away to this nightmare? What if you got some new scars from the battle? You have such a baby face I don't know how they'd look. Please be okay, you ahve to be. Please. I just want to see you again." The rampant thoughts are blown away, a lone voice cries out, "Elly!"

Set a couple days before Sage departs for Ul'dah, he has a conversation with his mother where she decides to offer some words of wisdom

#PolarisTales #oc:sage #gposers #viera

(Thread Part 1 of 4) ⤵️
Claire talking to Sage on a boardwalk in Old Sharlayan. She says, "Listen, I know you leave in a couple days, so I wanted to give you some motherly advice before you go." Claire talking to Sage on a boardwalk in Old Sharlayan. She lifts a finger to adopt a lecturing posture and says, "You are only mortal." Claire talking to Sage on a boardwalk in Old Sharlayan. Claire is visibly annoyed, Sage looks concerned and says, "That's... Not very encouraging advice, mom..." Claire accosts Sage on the Sharlayan boardwalk, "You'll find my advice is jsut a bit more encouraging if you let me finish the damn thing, dummy!" Sage, startled, responds, "Y-yes ma'am! Sorry..." Claire composes herself and calmly responds, "Apology accepted. [ahem] Now, where was I?"
