Pay taxes. Raise taxes higher. Organize labor unions and give them money. Fund local community groups and religious congregations that build social capital so politicians will be pressured to respond to people's needs. Fund and organize local political party orgs. Fund left-of-center media orgs.

The openly stated goal of the Epstein class and their parrots in the media is to erase trans people. Some for reasons of political control via scapegoating, others so that trans women become more vulnerable to abuse and trafficking, many others for reasons of plain old (mostly religious) bigotry.

The way MAGA voters have isolated themselves into a media echo chamber is truly astonishing. I suspect religious childhood indoctrination is a root cause, as it effectively disables natural skepticism at an early age, and prevents development of epistemology.

wild how we have a whole political and media class who will comfortably admit they view phrases like "allahu ackbar" - a fairly common phrase used even by non religious Arabs like how non religious brits still say stuff like "Jesus wept" - as exclusively indicators of terrorism and "islamism".
What’s happened here is that, by sticking to their guns and refusing to be intimidated and shitehoused, the club and police have thankfully prevented Parliament and the press inciting rioting and running battles in the streets of a major city.
