Same goes for videos. The kinographer lets me preview and trim them visually, with simple knobs, and then optimizes them as it saves the file into lesson.

There are tools that are more extensive and do these things better. I just call ffmpeg through its command-line interface, and use Godot for UI.

I have to juggle a lot of things:

- Capture an image,
- Edit it: crop if necessary, highlight some areas, draw some arrows,
- Optimize it and put it into course,
- Build and preview the course on web.

The kinographer, with a simple image editor, turns these steps into a pipeline with a few clicks.
