Kirk Halftrack is a very patriotic usra mike built by alco at the same time as his sister Portlin, a pacific who pulls the bar harbor express. Kirk pulls his own train “the Morning Glory” it’s a fast freight that runs early in the morning from the junction up north all the way down to Boston. Sawyerville, he exists purely to fill out the world. He’s got a big nose and probably works on the Knox branch. Gleason also just exists to fill out the world. She shares the GP38 basis with Dominic (who will get MUCH more attention in Mainlined) but Gleason has the BAR colors just like Noah Another drawing of Oswald! This one is a little more squished and cartoony

Former express engine and colonial times?

Oswald was the first locomotive to ever haul the Bar Harbor express. He used to be sort of a daredevil going speeds others never dared. After a narrowly escaping death he “turned in his cape” and retired from named trains. All until Portlin arrived and someone needed to show her how to pull the train… Yes I know trains didn’t exist in colonial times. But as Ben retold the story of Paul Reverie the engines imagined it with themselves in the main roll. Noah taking the roll of Paul Reverie
