After years of talking to Trump supporters my view of them has become very simple: They want socialist, even sometimes progressive reforms but they want them from someone who makes those reforms feel powerful and masculine and they want to make sure the people they don't like don't benefit from them

There's a lot unexamined about the unstated prescriptivism and norms around non-binary identity in Western, anglophonic contexts, but it's really operative in how the Woman is constructed as this binary, regressive, unqueerable positionality.

Hoping for more great horror in 2025. I want more LGBTQ+ horror, more horror from BIPOC writers, more horror mixed with whatever authors love. I want more smart, unique horror that doesn't care about being easy to digest. I want more horror full of positionality. I want it all.

I assure you that acknowledging how trans women face misogyny will only strengthen your understanding of patriarchy and your own positionality under it, and that recognizing how disposability, degendering, and dehumanization work hand in hand with regendering and reproductive exploitation is good.
