We take every opportunity to educate the postal service
Can't wait to open this and check out my new lights from @bikelaneuprising.bsky.social! But I had to express my appreciation for this message on the label 🙌🙌🙌

The postal service has become a tool of voter suppression
Election officials in south Florida say they're alarmed at how slow USPS is delivering ballots.

And they're urging voters to vote in-person at this point: www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2026/...

It took years to obtain records about the U.S. Postal Service's social media surveillance program, "iCOP." They show little oversight or legal justification, poor record-keeping, and no recognition that its surveillance of protests chills our rights. www.eff.org/deeplinks/2...

The overwhelming majority of postal workers are just terrific, truly dedicated and hard-working. The problem is not them. It’s at the top.
My ballot in Portland, OR was picked up and counted the next day. I received a text. The best part was I talked with our wonderful mailman, he assured me all would go well. He even checks the back of the envelope to make sure it's signed, he was headed over to the next street with an unsigned ballot

Though I suppose that may be a combination of not having anticipated being so insanely unpopular that Kansas is in play, plus some of the earlier schemes (like the Postal Service shennannigans) getting blocked by the courts.

The Conservative - Lib Dim coalition government passed the Postal Services Act in 2011 which led to Royal Mail and The Post Office being separated.

Andy Burnham, it's time to put right the mistakes of the past and put the broken pieces of our postal service back together.
