Meet postman joseph roulin, van gogh's friend & muse #vangogh #postmanroulin #arles
The painting depicts a man with a beard and a mustache. He is wearing a blue jacket, suggesting he might be a naval officer or a sailor. His posture is relaxed as he sits on a chair at a table, one hand resting on his knee, the other possibly supporting his chin. The background features elements that resemble nautical items such as ropes and perhaps the deck of a ship, reinforcing the maritime theme. The colors are predominantly dark blue tones with hints of green and yellow, creating a somber atmosphere that is characteristic of Van Gogh’s work.
