Commissioner Heimel announced the county will apply to the National Rural Health Leadership Academy (sponsored by NACo and the De Beaumont Foundation), noting only 12 teams will be accepted nationwide and that the application would involve county human services and partners such as UPMC and the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
