Instead, disagreements tend to get resolved (or not) based on what the powerusers think. Powerusers dominate every site--we (and I am not an especially impressive poweruser, but we all use it way more than the typical account does) define what the boundaries and norms are.

another problem here is lists because Twitter actually had lists but if you blocked the person who made them you would be removed from it, here you stay on lists for eternity and many of those lists are just the personal shitlists of powerusers who advertise them as a cordon sanitaire you can use
