At its June 22 meeting the Prairie View City Council appointed Carl Jones interim city manager (4–0 with one abstention), adopted a resolution removing former city manager Kilpatrick as an authorized bank signer and authorized Jones as a signer, confirmed board appointments and tabled several budgetary items to a later date.

On June 8 the council approved an interlocal agreement amendment with Waller County (city match ~$60,189.38), voted to add 21 streetlights along James Muse Parkway, approved a deannexation tied to a settlement, elected Council Member Ducet as mayor pro tem (3–2), approved an engagement letter for special counsel, and rejected appointment of Brooke Jeffrey as city secretary (2–3).
