soooo im not exactly a history buff, but is it fair to say that the US rn is in a relatively similar boat to the USSR precollapse? feels like we're pissing everyone off and isolating ourselves even though i thought trade was like our big thing. and like, guns i guess

realizing i should really figure out a good egg alternative for baking, i can bulk acquire most of the rest now precollapse(no personal money, but small influence over household food spending), and butter is locally available, but eggs are going to be a problem, and bananas will be too.
