prewriting someone else’s obituary that tears them apart before dying yourself is some incredible work. i am in awe. she might be dead but it didn’t stop her from eulogizing him with two middle fingers up

A really charming #earlymodern funeral monument to Margaret Cleyton in Chepstow's medieval church. Constructed in 1620, but she lived till 1627. The two men praying are the husbands she outlived!

Rachel Aaron's 2k to 10k book, basically. The advice in there for prewriting etc defeats any empty page for me
This might seem a silly question, but writers: how do you *start* writing?
How do you bridge the gap between staring at an empty page, with only a story idea & vague sense of urgency in your head, and convincing yourself to actually Start Writing?

Truth. No freaking way will I use ChatGPT for my prewriting process.
I reckon if you've been a writer for 15 years and you can comfortably replace part of your process with ChatGPT, it speaks volumes about your writing

My opinion on 4 ttrpg play cultures:
Gnusto: I can get behind it when the prewriting of the story is collaborative
Nitfol: my personal favourite. I think other cultures steal more from it than they think
Blorb: my other favourite bc its play-oriented
Frotz: a fun side activity, but not a main course
