"During 2008–2022, cervical precancer incidence decreased 79% and higher-grade precancer incidence decreased 80% among screened women aged 20–24 years, the age group most likely to have been vaccinated." Thank you, @kevinault.bsky.social for alerting me!

FWIW one mammogram is less than 1/7th the radiation that you are exposed to on average in a given year. And breast cancer patients who opt for alternative therapies (after cancer diagnosis, not when caught on precancer screening) are 5x more likely to die than those who follow recommended protocols.

What if we had a vaccine that prevents cancer?
Oh wait… we do. The HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccine prevents cervical cancer.
✔️ 2-dose series starting at age 9
✔️ Catch up until age 26

1/ HPV vaccines prevent cancer. Real-world data show large drops in cervical cancer and precancer, plus dramatic declines in genital warts. WHO and CDC: strong safety profile from massive post-marketing surveillance.

Prediabetes och prehypertension i all ära, tänk vad friska alla ska känna sig när de inser att alla även har precancer
"By recording over 250,000 daily measurements for up to 43 individuals, we found personalized circadian differences in physiological parameters, replicating previous physiological findings"

HPV vaccines overall are age 45 or under. This one, if shown in Phase III trials to cause precancer regression, would likely have no age limit.

uhmmmm so i went into surgery a couple weeks ago with no obvious symptoms and they found precancer. modern screening and early detection are uncomplicated miracles of modern society ok

so like, do your screenings even if they suck

Summary:. Research on precancers, as defined as at-risk tissues and early lesions, is of high significance given the effectiveness of early intervention. We discuss the need for risk stratification to...

Literally that was why I had celiac disease undiagnosed for as long as I did. It's also why my precancer had advanced into cancer by the time it was diagnosed

MY LAB RESULTS CAME BACK CLEAR!!!!! THEY FOUND NO PRECANCER OR CANCEROUS CELLS!!!! literally i just started bawling as soon as i got off the phone (not of sadness) just because that was the scariest week of my life i am so happy and relieved

Hitting submit on a manuscript that goes back to my precancer diagnosis days feels really good

(less good - the journal's example for how to fill out the category selection tool being "cancer:melanoma" 🫠)

One doctor wanted to prove a link so badly, he misdiagnosed patients with cancer to pad the data.

These people are awful.

got a colposcopy and cervical biopsy done today to check for precancer, but good news is that i definitely don’t have cervical cancer! woo!

Cervical cancer here. I was too old for the vaccine when it first came out. It starts off as precancer with no symptoms. Cin 1-3.
Stage 1-4 could also have no symptoms or you could have bleeding, pain and other symptoms.
My brother and one of my best friends got squamous cell cancer in the throat and mouth due to HPV. If they had received the HPV vaccine as young men (then unavailable), most likely they would never have gotten cancer.

Vaccines work. Don't let these trumpers tell you otherwise.

I guess I shouldn’t complain they found precancer and a hernia lol

This exactly.

Insurance companies have done this for decades. They stopped paying for one med that was supposed to help prevent severe GERD in favor of OTC. Instead, I now have Barrett's esophagus (precancer) and need surgery. How does that make sense??
