Not an original idea, but I wanted to sketch him 🫶

Pre-Kerberos Keith holding his knife in a fighting stance, saying: “I’ve only had Shiro for a day and a half, but if anything happened to him, I’d kill everyone in this room and then myself”

"Unbreakable"
A #sheith soulmates AU from Adam's POV, in which he overcomes his own heartbreak and helps the man he once loved to achieve his happy ending... one that perhaps would lead to his own?

"Yes, soulmates obviously exist. It's just a little different from what you see in movies." [Panel shows a small Matt holding his baby sister Pidge, the red string of fate tied to a finger of one of their hands] "Most soulmates bonds are simply platonic, like siblings." [Panel shows a young Hunk and Lance hugging and laughing, red string of fate also tied to their fingers] "Or best friends" [Panel shows two hands holding each other, red string of fate laced in one finger of each] "But movies and novels love focusing on only the rarest kind, one that doesn't happen often- so uncommon that you may wonder if they really exist: romantic soulmates." "Maybe that's why I didn't worry so much at first. I mean, what where the odds?" [Panel sequence shows an intrigued Adam looking at Shiro, who just burst into their apartment, tears streaming down his face.] Shiro: Adam! I found him! "It was just a kid" [picture of a young, prekerberos Keith ] "Unbreakable" comic cover. Adam is between Shiro and Keith, holding the red string of fate that ties those two together, looking at it bitterly.

[Prekerb setting, at the Garrison. Keith and Shiro hang out for Keith's bday and Keith has a new device for school] Shiro: Dinner's here bday boy! Keith: oh! thank you Shiro, I really appreciate you doing this for me. Shiro You done setting up your new PADD? Keith: Almost! I'm currently erasing old files from middle school, so I can make more space on my cloud for my garrison assignments. Shiro: Wait, what's that file? [Shiro climbs over the couch to cuddle Keith as a distraction before snatching the PADD from him] Keith: Nothing! Haha, just old homework Shiro: Awww! I wanna see baby Keef's baby homework! Keith: pfft Shiro! Shiro: Gasp! Is that your art? [snatches phone] MINE! Keith: Oh Shiro c'mon! They're uglyy Shiro: So cute! Keith [sighs]: Fine, look to your hearts content. Shiro: What's this file about? Keith: oh! Just some creative writing homework I guess. I sucked at that kind of stuff. Shiro: .... a bucket list... Shiro [visibly upset]: It's.... It's almost empty. Keith: Well I mean... I was an orphan kid growing up in the system. You heard the principal of my school- about my "behavioral issues". Before you, not a single adult who met me thought I had a future... so things like making bucket lists made no sense to a "problem kid" like me. Keith [laughing and pointing at his phone]: Aw man! This one's bad. I deserved the bad grade- I just copied from the lists of the other kids. Most girls in my class wrote "getting my first kiss" so I did it too. And the boys were so gross. Most wrote "losing my virginity" and sure, I copied that too. But I had no idea what that actually meant- they probably didn't either, and were quoting some tv show -- Shiro [off screen, sounding upset]: That's not true.
