#Preprints
It's great that psyarxiv is working on its longevity but requiring all new preprints to use a CC license is Very Bad - this license allows commercial AI firms to scrape your preprints to train models

other preprint servers like biorxiv use a much more restrictive license, which protects authors
📢PsyArXiv, the community-led preprint server for psychological science, is transitioning to a new technical platform!

This migration allows PsyArXiv to improve existing functionality and add exciting new features, setting PsyArXiv up for many more years of sustainable growth.

Some interesting new features of the new platform for PsyArXiv:

- Enhanced search syntax
- Improved API
- Preprints will require an license (‘No license’ will no longer be an option)

Babar posted two preprints on the hadronic contribution to the muon's g-2. arxiv.org/abs/2611.04596 and arxiv.org/abs/2611.04621 . The discrepancy between BaBar and CMD3 vs KLOE and others deepens. #Gminus2

Acknowledgments of large language model (LLM) use in biology preprints have grown exponentially since 2023. In three years, the share of preprints acknowledging LLM use is nearly as high as acknowledgments of specialized AI tool use, at 17% vs. 19% in September.

How do librarians view the role of preprints in today’s research ecosystem?

During the session, Melissa shared fresh perspectives on how preprints remove barriers, how librarians can support authors, and why the future of open science must stay human-centered.

Not saying this to inspire doomerism, but to explain systemic issues so we can tackle them. As many have said, this is a really tricky system to fight / change, etc. — lots of knowledge needed to intervene without backfire like we have with preprints / open science.

Thank you, and congrats! Somewhat connecting those two preprints - is there any prominent localization of (Pp or) MpSOK during spore polarization/symmetry breaking?
