I'm no good at spritework, so for a time I got rly into painting or prerendering my beta SM64 stuff, then downscaling it lol

Turns out I really like creating stuff in blender and then prerendering it, especially if I get to make it all crunchy :3
oh yeah this is really comin' together now :D

i have this unhinged fantasy that maybe in an alternative world, the “Preact” naming wasn’t taken, and server components could be called “Preact components” (pre-React, “runs before React”) which kind of helps communicate it’s a form of prerendering.

Got an interesting method set up to render 3D models like old 3D sprites without prerendering. Really interesting effect. #gamedev #indiedev #gaming #godotengine #art #blender

React SPAs are slow and bloated junk, full of useless heavy JS

Prefetching/prerendering is a bad remedy for a syndrome that MPA apps do not have

react@19.0.0-rc1 is out today with a replacement for sibling pre-rendering. Give it a try and maybe we can ship React 19 soon?

Summary I'm creating this issue to continue the discussion that spawned in the already merged PR (#26380) Several community members have raised concerns about this change and it has gained traction...

I really wish I wrote gifdex with a framework that had even basic prerendering because now I'm sat here making a proxy that adds opengraph tags instead of being able to do it in the markup :(

i always manage to gravitate towards @astro.build.

currently building a vite SPA and realizing that astro would help with prerendering the application "shell".

this kind of thing is notoriously difficult with vite, which is mainly concerned with bundling.

Why is my site fast?

55% of my pageviews on Desktop are coming from Bfbache or had an early start with Prerendering. 👌

Having poor performance with Partial Prerendering with @nextjs.org? Check your code if you're using revalidatePath. This is actually revalidating the entire static shell each time, making things really slow! Instead rely on router.refresh() to update your server component data.

Remaking a 2023 rant since it’s relevant today:

Main problem I have with the approach to animation done in SRW DD, 30, and Y are the prerendered sprites are incredibly blurry when scaled.

SD Gundam G Gen solved this with Genesis by their prerendering methods, we should've had the same treatment.

That brief period when VGA was popular but prerendering CGI for everything was not yet practical

Just look how far I've come with this #GameJam! I love it (that's rare). Prerendering is an #art 😍

P.S. On my garbage (a.k.a. Intel 4000) it runs poorly, but on my Honor tablet it runs at a full 60fps in 720p and 30fps in 2k.
