But… the pharmacist cannot fill scripts that have not been written by a prescriber so… dead in the water. This is nothing.

Assuming this goes well, this is good news, and I applaud Utah for previously waiving the requirement that a prescriber can only be a licensed physician, which led to this. There's a reason US physicians significantly outearn their OECD peers, and it's not because of training or skill or workload.

So that’s my cool psychiatrist who is so remarkably competent as a prescriber of my meds & has such high expertise on my condition as a physician & got to know me as a person not a freaky specimen who stands against carcerality & other violent injustice in psychiatry. @coolhand.bsky.social

My prescriber did also say that I could just… get the prescription and decide not to take it. Which was the final tiebreaker that made me get it. But for now I want to see where it gets me in the first three months unless the thirst becomes truly unbearable.

Getting sufficient dosage for that might require injections. It sounds like you're on oral, which I don't have any experience with (my prescriber strongly prefers patches or injections). Everyone has different experiences with different methods, and whatever you're doing now is worthwhile

Once you're settled in, I really recommend checking with your prescriber about the options for estradiol monotherapy. You very likely shouldn't have to be on an antiandrogen permanently (a lot of people don't need them at all)

Need to start taking my gabapentin as prescribed. Building up too much of a stockpile. Been taking 2 twice a day supposed to be 2 three times a day but I bad at remembering the mid day ones so I'm doing 3 twice a day (which the prescriber said is fine) need to do it regularly tho

My current T prescriber is only familiar with F2M full on T. My previous endo was very gel and injections only, which left me with weekly injections and not a lot of autonomy. I am seeing a new general Dr. that works with my PCP and is more trans/NB knowledge. I see them early next month.

There are going to be some fun lawsuits here when they find out the prescriber is still on the hook of something goes horribly wrong.

How TF are they getting malpractice coverage for this?!

Noticed I wear my "Sunday best" so to speak to see my prescriber to renew my hrt. Guess I have show that I'm a good girl loving atheist in my place of spiritual acceptance ✨️

Panel weighs patient registry versus CSMD overlay and preserves physician role in recommendations
The commission proposes physician recommendations and pharmacist dispensation rather than broad patient cards, favoring CSMD integration over an expensive standalone registry; physicians stressed bona fide prescriber-patient relationships and dosing limits.

I need to vent and in tagging @rnflex.bsky.social because I know he’ll get it.

A RN I used to work with posted on FB that she started Tirzepatide (Mounjaro/Zepbound) on 9/11 and she’s struggling with some side effects.

She said her prescriber is decreasing her dose due to the side effects.

me at my last meds prescriber appointment: i think i've been doing really well and making progress, i've been needing my anxiety med to leave the house *way* less.

meds prescriber: i think you should consider seeing a therapist so you can work on being dependent on medicine

And stop giving everyone 450 mg of bupropion, I once had an ER doc ask me "oh, is that contraindicated with seizure disorders?" BE SO FOR REAL JFC look, I get that not every prescriber is a former pharmacist and I don't expect y'all to know everything, but some things should just stick out??
I thought treating anxiety with clonidine was bad, then I saw atomoxetine prescribed for fatigue.

People. Just prescribe the goddamned controlled substances. Neither modafinil nor clonazepam will kill your patient. Even in massive doses! Even together! I promise! STOP TRYING PLACEBOS! 🤬

Some of the possible future ideas I have thought of in the past 24 hours: consultancy training; a supported accommodation house for Somali women clients only; becoming an ADHD & Autism assessor and non-medical prescriber; and transcultural addictions service improvement, including khat treatment.

Try to steer your prescriber away from Ambien if they start down that route. It severely messed me up. I ended up sleep shopping and spending $560 on stuff I would not have otherwise purchased.

I have a follow-up with the prescriber in exactly 2 weeks so I've decided to just keep suffering until then unless it gets worse.

if it does get worse I'm going to just go ahead and blow up the whole earth and end everyone's suffering forever if that's cool.

potency and dose are part of it as well as only institutionalized points of access that came w surveillance (urine screens, high # of prescriber appts/waiting rooms, quick to be cut off if not adhering). program was positive for some, but agree with Guy it wasn't set up to undercut toxic supply
