Its a miracle pricedrops for a exclusive Nintendo game. And that so shortly after launch. Maybe Nintendo and GameFreak took notes and the next release wont be so sloppy and outright embarassing anymore.

New plan:

Postponing any GPU purchases until next year when there's actually new tech being thrown onto the market - which usually means big pricedrops on CURRENT-GEN tech.

Did the same for my current rig, that tends to work out so much better.

I would recommend using the site dekudeals for tracking physical sales and pricedrops. I use it for tracking digital sales and sales histories for PlayStation and Switch games and it's been a great tool to see if I'm getting a good deal or if I should hold off until something is inevitably cheaper.

Steam can afford to have sales so often and it helps the consumer feel like they have some kind of choice in waiting to grab games
You just know with nintendo, not even the digital games will get significant pricedrops...

Happy Switch 2 release day if you guys celebrate that. Of course i'm not going to buy one and instead wait for pricedrops (if they even come) but I will instead take the first dive directly into Game Month's first movie. Of course I picked the one where Mario gets kissed by a fat bitch. The 1993 mario movie is... Still kinda divisive, don't let the top Letterboxd reviews lie to you. The popular opinion seems to be "Hey this isn't the worst movie ever just because it isn't that close to the games!" Which is something that I both agree with and reply to with "Well that's a big fucking problem". I think these more "Out there" adaptions of popular franchises should be done ethier with stuff no one gives a fuck about or something that has an established formula. You know like Scooby Apocalypse and that one show with Rayman eating sushi out of a cowgirl's back. This is kinda like that but it was made when Super Mario Bros 1 was probally like 5 years old when they started developing it. Look at the character Daisy for example, she's called that but she's blonde and later wears pink she's clearly Peach. It's such a wierd mixup that you would think someone noticed at one point or another but hey they didn't! Good for it!

It's also an oddly sanitized and not very well developed Cyberpunk movie? Like they wanted to combine Blade Runner with the Isekai structure and the 80's blockbuster. But none of the parts are really well balanced with eachother. Like why is this big city in the dinosaur dimension thriving in the first place even through the world was supposedly a whole dry place? You're not going to explan that movie oh ok? The set design for the dystopian streets was cool through. Also lots of fucked up flesh horror which also is part of the clash I mentioned but it was cool as fuck regardless. Was not ready for the Twin Towers through. No one really is.
