He watches in mounting horror as the helicopter comes crashing down, and it’s so close to MacMillan, he’s not going to make it, he’s going to watch his Captain be split in two by the blades and he doesn’t— The helicopter lands in an explosion of debris and a blade cuts through the air until it makes contact with the ground and breaks right before it can slide through MacMillan. John can’t breathe as he watches MacMillan raise a shaky hand to hold back the blade like a gladiator refusing to beg for mercy, the gladius of the rotor digging into a leather vambrace like the scythe of a chthonic god. No mercy – but the blade stops. Then he’s already running, making his way to where his Captain is not getting up.

Answered a PriceMillan related ask today (after letting it sit in my inbox for 5 months i'm sorry anon)
#pricemillan #kittewrites
Anonymous asked: You think mac misses John as a lieutenant or he gets a little kick out of a military captain being so devoted to him Narcissosbythepool reply: I think Mac is a little split there. He misses the sort of innocence he was able to wrangle out of Price under his tutelage (not that there was much to wrangle anymore but he got the last dregs out), and he wishes he could keep that bright-eyed lieutenant forever, the one who wasn't quite as jaded as Price today. If we assume they didn't sleep together when Price was still his lieutenant, he definitely regrets not picking him up and teaching him in other ways too. If they did, he misses how the quite inexperienced Price blushed all the way to his chest as Mac demonstrated what years of experience can do. Then again. Like you said – maybe he does get a kick out of a captain being so devoted to him? That this jaded, angry man who has by now been betrayed by the world to not believe in anything… that he believes in Mac? That has to hit like a drug. After all these years, he still looks up to Mac, still wants to be good for him, good to him. Once again, if we assume they didn't sleep together back in the day, this is the ripe time to pick him up, warmed by nostalgia and a tired look in his eye begging for release. If they did sleep together, what better time to reheat an old flame than this? Have Price look up at him with wonder in his eyes like in the old days, as if years have simply fallen away and they're back where they started.

More #pricemillan and also #poly141
#kittewrites
Anonymous asked: The 141 and Macmillan splitting custody of price, only gets worse post retirement Narcissosbythepool reply: 1000% this. MacMillan has been retired for a few years already and has been waiting for the day Price retires. Because when he does… well, Mac assumes he will get to monopolize Price as much as he wants, and in a sense he does get that. But while he gets Price's domesticity, while he gets his bright-eyed adoration, the soft expression when they wake up next to each other in the morning, while he gets to love Price in the open now without repercussions… He also gets Price forlornly sighing while staring out of the window. He also gets him pacing around with his phone in his hand, staring at the conversation with no new messages. He gets the "I have to go, he's in the hospital" when one of the remaining 141 gets injured. He gets exactly what he wants, and still it's not enough. Honestly 141 are getting scraps at this point, they're terrified of what happens if Mac decides to propose to Price because it is a) likely and b) more convenient than trying to establish legal gay polygamy in the UK lol… But when Mac invites them over for a meal, when they see the home Mac has built for the two, and that they're still welcome in it (because Price loves them loves them loves them), they can rest a bit easier. Even if the old men got married, Price would still need the three of them for balance. Tags: ghost probably retires first out of the rest of 141 - age wise and also. he wants to make sure mac doesn't completely steal price; gotta have a guard dog but like goddamn what a resource guarder

Got a nice #pricemillan ask on tumblr
Anonymous asked: Thoughts on jealous macmillan? Old man being possessive of price Narcissosbythepool reply: Oh I am thinking of jealous Macmillan alright. I think Macmillan likes to think of himself as the man who discovered John Price and that's something he'll carry with him forever. He owns that part of Price's life, the start of his career, only one who took notice of the green lieutenant with the fire in his eyes to do more. He'll always have it, his humble beginnings, and Price will always owe him. It shows in smaller ways too, though. A possessive hand on Price's shoulder, a squeeze that looks like good job but means you are mine. Macmillan, at this point, does not know the difference, but it doesn't matter because Price hears both loud and clear. He's doing a good job, he's Macmillan's, it's all the same thing. Sometimes it's a meaningful touch on Price's lower back, just a brush but a reminded that no one else gets to touch him as closely, as intimately, as Macmillan. A brush of fingers on his neck, when no one else sees. See, you nicked yourself while shaving. You should try growing a beard. When Price falls in with 141, Macmillan follows his career closely. His man is all grown now, is out there saving the world, or making it worse, who knows. His creation. And when he visits the 141 base, the boys get to see what real hero worship looks like. The way Price folds the moment Macmillan is in the vicinity, defers to him like he knows best – if he treats 141 like his dogs, they get to see Price roll over, sit and bark for the man who shaped him into the man he is. Macmillan likes seeing Price like this, respected and admired, worshipped, but he likes to remind the 141 boys every now and then who it is truly that Price belongs to. The boys seem very close with their captain, he sees the gleam in their eye that tells him that it goes beyond normal admiration men would have for their captain, and so he likes to yank Price's leash. Make sure they know who it is Price will ultimately return to, when the time comes. He makes sure to never close the door all the way when he makes Price kneel in his office.

Short NSFW #MacPrice / #PriceMillan 🧵 09 mainly but can be 22 too

I like think of Captain MacMillan seeing Lieutenant Price for the first time and having heart eyes.
He takes one good look and this absolutely goddamn FERAL soldier and thinks yep I want that one as my second in command.

'Man down.'

Lieutenant Price loses his first soldier while they're under his command. He doesn't take it well. MacMillan steps in.
Can be seen as #PriceMillan / #MacPrice if you squint.
