EU rule, I believe, that all cookies have to be offered and accepted. It is a total PITA and hasn't much affected the nefarious tracking that goes on. Get an add-on like PrivacyBadger.

I will never disable my ad blocker mostly because even after I turn off ublock and privacybadger websites still tell me to disable them so I give up

Yup, my phone got this a little while ago. Laptop doesn't seem affected yet, dunno if uBlock Lite + PrivacyBadger are helping there.

Yup, my phone got this a little while ago. Laptop doesn't seem affected yet, dunno if uBlock Lite + PrivacyBadger are helping there.

Well... for the most part it's NoScript, PrivacyBadger, and a few other "ease of life/stop THEM from spying" extensions, so the settings are mostly "reauthorize this site to load/let it set some cookies" permissions. Quick and easy to fix...
... but it's still stupid policy work.

One of the reasons I stopped reading anything Google sends me as "news" is that 1) none of them work unless you disable PrivacyBadger, and 2) they all want my Google identity and the browser seems to eat itself alive if you tell it no.

Got rid of cable 20 yrs ago, put adblocking on our routers & individual devices. I use PrivacyBadger, Ghostery, DuckDuckGo. The work not to be tracked or see advertising continues apace. On top of defensive driving, we have to do defensive consuming. Now AI bullshit. This is exhausting.
Så "AI" funksjoner ble kastet inn på telefonen etter den nyeste oppdateringen
Heldigvis går det å slå de av under Labs, og man kan slå av ekstern prosessering
(btw, avinstaller Samsung Internet osv og installer Firefox med uBlock og privacybadger istedenfor - takk meg senere)

I had huge performance problems on Chrome that I finally tracked down to Adblock Plus. Plenty of alternatives out there now (like PrivacyBadger or uBlock Origin).
