I think this book sure did a good job with bridging the first book. This was a good story and can't wait for the 3rd one. It stood alone while being the centerpiece of a trilogy.

I wondered why Roaas was able to stay calm, since you'd think Caitians would be temperamental. Then I figured, maybe he toned down his natural tendencies when he joined Starfleet, so that's how he can stamp it down. #TrekBookClub
