A lasting darkness,
Eternal torrents falling
From a broken sky.

Drops of you
like the birth of a star
exploding

Sky tears
fresh pluvia
falling endlessly

Blinding need
forgives danger
out of necessity

What of our promise
to risk dark storms
for eternity?

I prayed.
Bring to this parched & dying farm
the life forces that resuscitate,
grey skies & soft showers.

surpassing all understanding
in the vastness of the universe:
come down to this speck
this planet, our Gaia
I prayed
