#Pronatalism
It also provides fuel for far-right pronatalism. The problem isn't that we fund bombs instead of books; it's that women won't produce as many babies as we want them to.

Is this pronatalism?

more pronatalism news: just back from the woods where our job was to wait at the tree line while the little king shouted ‘Totoro! come out please!’ into the darkness

I did not express "skepticism of the motivations", I reported that public concern over low birth rates is more common among conservatives. But he used it to show social justice takes on pronatalism "extend to academic commentators." I may be a commentator elsewhere, but that paper isn't commentating

"pronatalism" is entirely a 14-words ideology but the newspapers refuse to just say that

New IFS report on culture and fertility concludes pronatalists must convince young people that their valid concerns are, in fact, no big deal and validates parents' pressuring adult children into having kids.

No need to make structural changes; it's all culture, baby.

And, related, why he pushes insane pronatalism because HE just hires subordinates to have his children, who he then barely engages with. Come on everyone, have more kids. It's as simple as pressuring your subordinates and paying them to incubate your offspring that you don't have to raise

The entire project of pronatalism, the pro-life movement, and the shredding of the social safety net is to punish women for having sex.

They know expectant mothers will die. They think all women who have sex are disgusting, pregnancy is disgusting, and women are disposable.

Pronatalism doesn't have to be pro forced birth (I am concerned with the negative affects of population decline but I think we should just have open borders) but by some weird coincidence they just accidentally are every time. Social safety nets don't get you there. (Let's do them anyway, though).

the pronatalism could be its whole own doc—as usual, the “extremism” begins much earlier in his timeline, but because it was expressed as white and male supremacy it apparently gets a pass for years

Why do Republicans have an obsession with having more babies? Well, I am glad you asked, it's called Pronatalism, which sounds harmless. The real intent is to ensure the dominance of the white race. Pronatalism is just racism & eugenics by another name

Pronatalism, homophobia, & ableism, yeah.

Ensuring people are in their strict assigned gender roles and performing them to expectations.

Infertile people, even if cishet , are discriminated against & punished.

But also “go forth and multiply” and “we need bodies for work and war”.
