I very much appreciate that this Protectron as made for season 2 of the Fallout TV series establishes that Protectrons (or, at the very least, F.I.S.T.O) runs with a 26GB memory cache. just because Fallout tech *looks* '50s, it doesn't have to be stuck with '50s capabilities

What, like fucking protectrons? What on earth fubctional purpose could they even pretend those serve? If they feel save enough to get within manual grabbing range, they don't need a tazer.

Spain has been doing this for a few decades. Their system isn't PV though. It's 40 story towers surrounded by ground level mirrors pointed at the tips of the towers. It's kind of a marvel. www.amusingplanet.com/2013/08/the-...

Yeah, big scorpobot is a decent effort at applying other skills to a fight; shut down its back-up power, set the turrets on it, set the protectrons on it. And then failing all that, just self-destruct it 😌

While you don't get settlers, and only one "lite" companion at any time, the vast options available in Fallout 76 is awesome!
You can get a pet dog, cat, radhog, and a few other pets.
And protectrons that collect "stuff" for you. And one that repairs everything.

I must confess that I didn't expect the Robco Brand Multipurpose Protectrons to come in dog form. Always preferred the medical one with the defibrillators, personally, but this is neat too.
