Do not forget that Leo XIII was not only the man of #RerumNovarum (1891) and social justice. That was very important. Yet with his encyclical #ProvidentissimusDeus (1893) he was also the first pope to truly embrace the professionalization of #BiblicalStudies. Go for it, Leo XIV!

Vergeet vooral niet dat Leo XIII niet alleen de man was van #RerumNovarum (1891) en sociale gerechtigheid. Met zijn encycliek #ProvidentissimusDeus (1893) was hij ook de eerste paus die de professionalisering van de #Bijbelwetenschap echt omarmde. Zet 'm op, Leo XIV!
