#Punishable
I’ve experienced my own unpleasant psychosis episodes before. That is absolutely not something punishable, regardless of the outcome, because it does not reflect the true character of the accused. It’s like giving someone a spiked drink then blaming them for what they did under the influence

Then Germany invaded Poland and the rationing kicked in again almost immediately, although not very strongly at first. It only got really dire in the later years.

Funny story, though: very recently I was talking to someone and those

Proposition 133: Colorado voters will decide whether to make child sex trafficking punishable by life in prison
Colorado voters will decide in November whether to require that people convicted of child sex trafficking be sentenced to prison for life, without any chance of parole, by passing Proposition 133. The proposal also expands the definition of child sex trafficking to include buying sexual activity with a minor. Here’s what the measure would do, who is behind it and who is opposing it: What Proposition 133 would do Proposition 133 would change state law to increase the penalties for child sex trafficking to a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole, the same punishment required for people convicted of first-degree murder. Currently, judges have discretion to sentence anyone convicted of this crime from eight to 48 years in prison in addition to mandatory parole. It also would expand the definition of human trafficking of a minor for sexual servitude to include trading anything of monetary value to buy or sell sexual activity with a minor. Under current law, trafficking is defined to include selling, recruiting, and transporting a minor for commercial sexual activity. The same changes were included in a bill sponsored by state Rep. Scott Bottoms, a Colorado Springs Republican, that was rejected by Democrats in a...

also called gay sex a "crime" punishable by execution under Sharia. The mosque paid no tax on £191,097 of income last year thanks to its charitable status, and the Charity Commission has now opened a compliance case. Europe can't keep shrugging this off as religious freedom

Clancy did not have signs of psychosis during the murders and denied having hallucinations. Multiple verified doctors and experts concluded that analysis when they testified in court.

Being found not guilty or not punishable through reasons of insanity is an often-relied on scapegoat.

2/3 Threatening "annihilation" violates Geneva Conventions (AP 1, Article 51), which bans threats meant to terrorize civilians. If it targets a whole nation, it violates the 1948 Genocide Convention. "Direct and public incitement" is a punishable crime even if the threat isn't carried out.

I would agree for most capital crimes. For some reason I think treason should be punishable by hanging.

We need to find a way to make lieing as an elected official punishable in some way. The 1st amendment is great & all, but our society isn’t intelligent enough to let politicians lie w/o restraint. Telling the truth can’t be left up to the free market or our social conscience. Lies need consequences.

If Cyber Command is having suicides, that means they were set up or somehow involved in letting the breach happen and knew their lives were over as they knew them. Anyone know the names/ranks/roles? Maybe they knew they would be facing treason charges which can be punishable by death.

Governor signs bill to protect utility workers after surge in assaults
Last night, Governor Gavin Newsom signed Senate Bill 1330, a bipartisan bill authored by State Senator Jesse Arreguín (D-Oakland), which increases criminal penalties for assault or battery against a utility worker. This bill is in response to a growing number of incidents when essential utility workers are assaulted or threatened while working on the job. SB 1330 would make a violation punishable by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one year and/or by a fine not exceeding $2,000. “Utility workers provide an essential service to Californians, helping keep our lights on and deliver the critical services our communities rely on every day,” said Senator Jesse Arreguín, Chair of the Public Safety Committee. “SB 1330 recognizes the importance of their work and the risks they face, providing necessary protections at a critical time when there has been an unprecedented surge in assaults on utility workers.” The bill’s signing comes after two high-profile shootings this year against utility workers. In August, an attack on Southern California Edison employees in Mentone, San Bernardino County left the suspect dead. A similar incident happened in Camino, El Dorado County, in March, where four people were injured after a suspect shot at Pacific Gas & Electric workers. These incidents are just some of over 450 incidents of violence or threats against utility workers of California’s major utility companies since 2024. “Utility workers perform dangerous work every day to keep California’s communities powered and safe,” said Bob Dean, Business Manager of IBEW Local 1245. “Being attacked on the job should never be one of those risks. We thank Governor Newsom for signing SB 1330 and Senator Arreguín for standing with the men and women who provide the essential services Californians depend on every day.” The bill was supported by a large coalition of utility employees and groups, including the California State Association of Electrical Workers (Co-Sponsor), Coalition of California Utility Employees (Co-Sponsor), California Federation of Labor Unions, California Civil Liberties Association, San Diego Gas and Electric, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), East Bay Municipal Utility District, Engineers and Scientists of California, and International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE) Local 20.
