#Puppeteers#Directors
If one were to hold the belief American media operates free from the grip of its board of directors and political puppeteers, steering the narrative to suit their whims rather than illuminating the truth, one would indeed be quite mistaken. There is no media for independent thought.

"The directors used puppeteers to form Rocky in order create a life-like, empathetic character who could interface with Gosling – even though the alien doesn’t have a face or expressions. They called Gosling the sixth puppeteer."

(They probably didn't use only a puppet, we'll see)

We had a word for directors that never took suggestions: puppeteers. Sooner or later, people stopped showing up for auditions when they were directing. I've got stories, but I think everyone who's ever done stagework does.

I need a directors cut of Project Hail Mary where you can see all the puppeteers moving Rocky.

The Gizmoplex COULD have been a talent farm, with a dozen corollary projects in the works at all times, developing the next generation of writers, riffers, puppeteers, prop builders, directors, etc.

It was a missed opportunity and it might not ever come again.

What was it really like working with Jim Henson? I spent years tracking down the puppeteers, writers, directors and other creatives who helped bring the magic to life. Their stories became Rainbow Connections: Volume One, out 31st July 🌈

Agreed. The show doesn't write itself. Writers, directors, puppeteers and set designers all need to be paid. Sesame Street can't self fund.

anyways. in the sales pitch for the stage manager software includes the line “no difficult puppeteers, demanding actors, or moody directors needed,” which is… interesting. It feels like a subtle dig at fiona, doesn’t it?

“Writers, directors, actors, showrunners, puppeteers, visual effects artists — all are suppliers. The fewer buyers competing to hire them, the lower their compensation and the narrower their opportunities.“

In the age of CGI over saturation, #ThePitt pulled off one of the most realistic birthing scenes I’ve ever seen on TV utilizing all practical effects. It’s an engineering feat that shows directors don’t have to rely solely on digital effects to make a scene work. www.vulture.com/article/the-...

I was worried that Rocky would be all CGI, so I'm really stoked that he was moved by puppeteers, and they only used CGI when it was impossible for puppeteering. He will probably look and move differently than described in the book, but I am optimistic! Andy and the directors are all super excited!

We have an amazing team of writers, researchers, puppeteers, producers, and directors that love this project very much, but also need to make a living by doing it. By donating to the show, you can help us film our very first season!
