Pokémon PureRGB (PureRed/PureBlue/PureGreen)
Over the course of 2026, I played through Pokemon Gen 1 for my podcast. I played through 3 versions at once: LeafGreen, Let's Go Eevee, and PureGreen (a romhack of the OG Gameboy games). My conclusion is that FireRed/LeafGreen is the absolute worst version of that game.

Attributed the gift mons at Mt. Moon randomly, excluding a game that already had one, and did Mt. Moon catches, and the results were prettt interesting! Clefairy in Static Yellow as a first encounter, Rhyhorn in PureGreen since it went last, we just never encountered a Geodude!

And I have 4 distinct teams post-Pewter~

One of my parents explained the green light thing to me when I was young, "that's so your grandpa can tell the difference between redlight/greenlight". It was one of my very first Weird Facts.
