#PushRim
Home for the racer for the next few months. Indoor training sucks at times, but is a necessary evil that one must do to keep ones fitness level up.

Possibly debating doing something stupid. Wondering how bad it would be to rent a pushrim chair for a week on vacation. About 10 miles a day, give or take?

HMS: "But I'm trying to deliver your pushrim grips to your home. I need to fit them onto your wheelchair."
Me: "I understand that, but I and the wheelchair are at work. You'll have to bring it here to install it."
HMS: "But I'm trying to get into your home."
Me: "The wheelchair is at work."

Hjelpemiddelsentralen: "We're delivering your pushrim grips to your home now."
(You get five minutes notice btw, because disabled people are always home)
Me: "I'm at work."
HMS: "Can someone let us into your home?"
Me: "No, me and the wheelchair are at work."

thank you to the new england aquarium for a wonderful day. i’m a very big fan of the detailed access guide on your website (even if the elevator broke while we were there).

I love getting to decorate chairs and put your own stamp on them. I'm a manual user, and have purple pushrim covers, my spokes are blue and purple, and I have my wheelchair bag that's also purple, and made it my own. It's an NHS chair so no perm changes, but damn if I don't put my own stamp on it!

Manual user here: I recommend decent gloves, and pushrim covers if you're able.

The place I got very good ones of both are here: www.rehadesign.com/s...

Based in Europe but ship worldwide and they are built with wheelchair users in mind. They have been great for me. Not sponsored, just love them!

this kind of pushrim also contains your hand a lot more to grab into which gives you less room to avoid a potentially dangerous spinning metal disk
especially compared to a standard pushrim where i can lift my hand away entirely perpendicular or upwards, not having to move closer to the centre first

Added the final touches to my chair tonight and I am so, so happy with how it turned out!

Really wanted to embrace the Minecraft with it, and I think the shulker backpack did just that. Pictures don't do all the glitter/metallic thread/shine on this thing justice LOL.

Haha pretty jazzy! They're Alber eMotion M25s, they sense how much force you put into the pushrim and add power accordingly. Getting them to the higher assist level (which I need for daily use) requires either the app (via bluetooth) or a handheld controller (which I don't have), so I'm kinda stuck.

Put spoke covers on my wheelchair wheel spokes for both my eMotion and manual wheels in a rainbow pattern on each. So squeeful right now.
