Had lots of fun re-arranging Raking Leaves tonight so that I can play it over a midi loop - drums from my yamaha an200 and bass from my yamaha qy10. (I don't really know what I'm doing).

A large 90s party. Trashing QY10 thru a Death by Audio Geranium Filter. I was trying to figure out a different song and sometimes I rest my brain by writing something else (if it hits). There really is a melody in there.

Had a go on a friends’ OP-1 a couple of years ago; it’s a lovely (but expensive) instrument. I’ve a lot of affection for my Yamaha walkstations - QY10 & QY70. Did a project with the former last winter and am minded to do something with the latter this :-)

No new release from me for #BandcampFriday but some results from this endeavour - all starting with a Yamaha #QY10 - will be out soon: dreams of night trains, adventures in Essex, subterranean Antwerp and an exponent of photograms all feature… #lofi #synthsky
As it is now January, the time has come to sift through riffs & bassline ideas tapped into the #QY10, plus some field recordings, and see if I can write any new songs by the 31st for the #walkstationtostation project. Looks like I could be writing at least 5 songs after today’s playback! #synthsky
2024 is almost through. From 6th January I will be posting a #VoltagePoetryProjectAtoZ which will tag various folk, albums, places, instruments etc. that I’ve found to be helpful or inspiring (including this year.) Happy New Year in the meantime! #synthsky
