#Qsymia
"He struggles with binge eating, according to people familiar with his habits, and takes weight-loss medication." If Musk is on topamax or something like Qsymia with topiramate, that could be incredibly bad for his mental state. Just speaking personally, I'm on it for migraines and it can be bad

Since TikTok was always a place I found silent support and good ideas, I’m going to share my experience so far with Qsymia here. I have lost 7 lbs in my first month of using it. That was in December a holiday month. It has turned off the food noise almost completely. #Qsymia #weightloss

It seems a lot of anti vaxxers are happy to consume Bupropion-naltrexone (Contrave)
Liraglutide (Saxenda)
Orlistat (Xenical, Alli)
Phentermine-topiramate (Qsymia)
Semaglutide (Wegovy)
Setmelanotide (Imcivree)

Phentermine & topiramate separately or combined as brand name qsymia

I am down 24 lbs in two months on Qsymia! Miracle meds!! Now if only my insurance would cover them 🤬

Yes they are refusing unless I fail metformin, Qsymia, and Contrave and wouldn't pay for Qsymia or Contrave unless I fail metformin. I have no desire to constantly shit myself taking metformin. I paid OOP for Qsymia and had bad side effects. I pay for compounded tirzepatide now.

Oh? What's this, what's this? CVS Caremark actually is offering Qsymia as an alternative, a branded $150/month weight loss drug that contains topiramate, the generic for... topamax!

(Don't worry about the schedule IV, that's just the phentermine)

*re meds: Qsymia first to no effect, semaglutide similarly, tirzepatide effective for a ~10% weight loss but then slowly rebounded to near baseline even on 15 mg, now adding phentermine on top to minimal effect at the starting dose

So just on the grounds of comparing that, with this, there would seem to be a factual case for telling CVS Caremark: Actively interfering with Zepbound users, to tell them "nah no more Zepbound for you - hey why not Qsymia instead?", is some *bullshit* and *CVS knows it* bsky.app/profile/zinn...

What's going to happen when RFK takes the weight loss drugs
off the market?

No more Wegovy, Zepbound, Saxenda, or Qsymia

I’d be interested to hear your experience! I just started taking Qsymia which my doc wants me to take for a few months before starting GLP-1 injections.

That's awesome, congrats! I looked into surgery but ended up trying meds first and am a week into Qsymia

So my doctor recommended ozempic for my pcos, but it’s not covered, so she recommended wegovy but it’s not covered, so she recommended qsymia but it’s not covered, so she recommended topiramate but it’s not covered, so she recommended

Topamax special interest subthread: Qsymia trial, somehow, finds jack shit for statistically significant metabolic benefits in the study sample overall? And somehow I'm just a topamax super-responder and my bad cholesterol goes down 30% in 5 months? bsky.app/profile/zinn...

Just want to share this picture of Castor from yesterday. I was having a sit down (the qsymia still makes my heart race for no reason), and he sat down and fell asleep a foot away from me.
