i cannot think about john carmack without thinking about the quakeworld 1996 video which is mostly a normal promo, lotta guys being wow we love to play quake! gaming! then there's a segment where john carmack starts talking about netcode and its so physically boring its hard to process the words

when a player tries to telefrag a player with invulnerability, the teleporting player is supposed to die. however it actually doesn't do any damage, it'll just launch the invul player away from the other

Last Friday, I was playing Navy SEALs Quake Deathmatch with DA BOIS and I was told my player skin looked like Akage with Threewave CTF armor.
Funny part is that it wasn't intentional but it reminds me to make a QuakeWorld skin of Akage.
"This is Akage's brother who is a mercenary!" ^^
