An #AndeanCondor spotted high above the #QuarryTrail, near #MachuPicchu in Peru. Our guide called our 26 km 3 day trek 'roly poly Inca flat.' The highest that we climbed was Kuychicassa pass (4450 meters, 14599 feet) 2017. #Photography

Another wonderful hike with a trailhead near town yesterday! #quarrytrail #hopebc 1) Qemqemó aka #MountOgilvie 2) south and east. St’ám’ya #Hopemountain and Stó:lō #fraserriver 3) Cooper enjoying the lush moss and sunshine 4) you know you live in a rainforest when the trees wear fuzzy sweaters.
A large tan and white coonhound hikes up a trail. Behind the leafless alders the rocky cliffs of a mountain can be seen. A view from a noisy track ridge above an abandoned quarry. The mountain in the left has snow and down the centre of the valley is the Fraser River. Some wisps of smoke can be seen. Another mountain ridge is on the right. There are evergreen trees on all the mountains and the slope below the ridge The same dog wearing a harness and a retractable lead lays on his back with his paws in the air in the mossy rock ledge. An evergreen tree is silhouetted against the sun. Its branches are covered in moss and the sun outlines the hanging moss with a bright green fuzzy outline.
