Agreed. In '95, there was a vote for Quebec Seperation. Nailbiter. 51% to remain vs 49% to seperate (94% voter turn out) in Qubec).

There was a lot of stress & national ugliness during that time. Just having an Alberta vote would cause some national disruption, especialy US money gets invovled.

NJ (!) is more blue (remove Kean). But my real issue is the power. (NY/QR and NE/Maritimes have a grid that is now 1 creature (Qubec imports a lot of reverse power and the maritimes (ISO-NE) is literally tied into the maritimes such that if 2 power plants go down uh Black Maritimes is a thing

I am having a hard time finding the news report. It's their Qc city office, when the CAQ introduced more restrictions on signage (bill 96). It entered into effect last year in summer iirc.

As for BK, it was me spitballing why they could skirt the law for so long without drowning in fines. 1/4

A 4 year old Inuk boy has died from neglect of doctors and nurses in Qubec. Even hospitals in Canada and the US meant to serve Indigenous people have a high % of non-Indigenous staff. Many fail to give proper care to Indigenous patients.

shinanova Trigger Warning: Child Loss Little 4 year old boy from Ivujivik passed away after negligence from nurses and doctors in Ivujivik and Puvirnituq Qc Canada. Jusi's parents and family had been seeking medical help for his stomach pain, multiple times for him since July 15. Nurses kept refusing to properly see him, giving him Advil and Tylenol. For more than two weeks, his parents and family continued asking for help but the medical staff kept sending him back home. On August 3, Jusi passed away on his parents lap. Many Inuit/Indigenous families have experienced medical neglect and have been speaking up for years about the lack of proper medical care in Indigenous communities. People are sent home while still sick, have their symptoms dismissed, wait too long to be transferred, and have to ask for help over and over again before being taken seriously which puts the lives of our community members at risk.
